If you have a ready website mockup and what you need is to change its color scheme, here are some hints for you. There is an easy way of changing the color scheme of a website with the help of adjustment layers. Here’s how it works. For an example open website template 005 in Photoshop.
For creation of an adjusting layer we shall choose in the menu: Layer> New Adjustment Layer. Further choose type of correction Hue/Saturation..., Color Balance... or another also press Ok.

Notice a new adjustment layer in the list of the Layers Palette. Unlike a usual layer, it has the two icons, the adjustment layer itself and the mask layer. If the thumbnail image of the mask layer appears totally white, the adjustment applies to the whole image.

Double-click the preview image of the layer to open a window.

In the window, move the sliders Hue and Saturation until you are pleased with the result.

The adjustment layer is applicable to all the underlying layers in the Layers Palette, so placing it further under the layers will force the bottom ones to change in color, while the top ones will remain the same. That’s it.
Now you can easily create various color solutions (skins) for your website!
